Rules
-Planar Crossroads is a panfandom roleplay, we accept canon characters, original characters, and canon AU characters. Canon AU characters must be significantly different from their canon counterpart to be accepted, and original characters will be held to more stringent application requirements due to the lack of outside information on them. We do not accept past game history.
-Harassment or bullying of any players is absolutely prohibited, we expect everyone in this game to be treated with respect and kindness. Players who attack, harass or bully other players will not be tolerated and will face banning from the game.
-You may not play more than 2 characters from the same canon at a time, and these characters must have little or no interaction with each other in canon.
-Characters of exceptionally high levels of power, especially those who have the power to travel between dimensions on their own, cannot be apped as your first character. If there are issues with the characters you play, we may ask you to hold off on apping an exceptionally high powered character until the issues are resolved.
-Power-play (also known as god-modding) and using out-of-character knowledge in-character (also known as metagaming) are both forbidden. You cannot give your character knowledge they shouldn't have, and you cannot control the actions of another character or force them to accept the effects of your ability. Additionally, contacting a player OOCly and attempting to coerce them into going along with what you want is also not allowed. We ask that you respect each other when roleplaying together, and you not try to dictate actions or situations to other players who may not want them.
-If playing a canon character, please remain in character. We are open to and encourage various and nuanced interpretations of different characters, but we've all played in games where someone is just not playing true to the character, and that just makes everyone uncomfortable.
-Activity checks occur every month. Each character is required to have 5 comments of activity over the two-month cycle in order to pass activity. A single post counts as 5 comments for the purposes of activity check. Failure to post activity will result in the character being expelled from the game.
-You may go on hiatus and be exempt from a single activity check. Depending, if there are major extenuating circumstances you may be permitted to extend your hiatus for another activity check - you must contact the mods and tell us why before we will accept an extension. We will not accept any further hiatus extensions beyond that.
-You may not app more than 5 characters initially. You may earn extra slots if you have a full roster and post triple activity with all of your characters in an activity cycle. There is no limit to how many slots you may have beyond your ability to play them.
-If you have extra slots and one or more characters are expelled due to inactivity, you will lose an amount of extra slots equal to the number of characters that are expelled during that activity cycle.
-While we mods work very hard to take everyone's feedback to heart and help shape the game in the direction the players want, we ask that you respect our decisions and understand that they are final and non-negotiable. If you would like to know why we made a decision or you feel we aren't sufficiently explaining ourselves, please feel free to contact us and ask - just remember that we made it for a reason and we do not wish to argue about it.
-Please try to avoid spoilers in introduction posts or in casual tagging, some people may not have experienced your canon yet and we wouldn't want to ruin it for them.
-Filling out the taken page and contacts page info is required. You will not be admitted into the communities until these posts are filled out. This is not meant to penalize players but to keep everything up to date and organized, as well as make it easier for people to get in contact with one another for plotting and whatnot.
-Above all else, we're hear to have fun, so stop sweating the details in posts like this and go do something more interesting like tagging!
