Order of Scholarly Research

The Order of Scholarly Research exists for but one reason and one reason only - the pursuit of knowledge. No knowledge, be it small or great, is unwanted. We understand that while we know much, we will never know enough. It is only through the constant and diligent pursuit of greater heights of knowledge and learning that we will ever come to understand the mysteries of the multiverse.
-Sheldon Weatherly, head of the High Council of Knowledge
The Order of Scholarly Research is somewhat unusual among the guilds in that it has no singular Guildmaster, but instead its own Council with representatives from all other Guilds. As with the Knights of the Cross, much of the organizations it oversees are focused more on public good than profit, such as the libraries, museums, academies and laboratories.
The following qualities are favored in the Order of Scholarly Research:
-Thirst for knowledge
-Inquisitiveness
-Wisdom
-Keen intellect
-Patience
-Diligence
-Openness to new ideas
Housing and Food
The Tower of Knowledge has a number of small cells open to new guildmembers. Each cell is a single bedroom, containing a cot, desk, and dresser. The cells take up several floors, with each floor having its own bathroom facilities, several enclosed rooms with a small shower, sink and toilet.
A single floor on the tower is an open cafeteria. Open 24/7, the food is good, if not somewhat rudimentary, and generally intended to be easily portable so it can be taken back to one's cell to be eaten while studying.
