The Crossroads
Stepping through a doorway isn't usually this interesting...
While your day may have started normally, it certainly isn't looking to end that way. Walking through a door, one you've likely crossed without thought countless times before has suddenly landed you in the most bizarre place you've ever seen. People, human and not running around, speaking tongues you've never heard before but somehow understand. A chipper centipede woman in a smart business suit approaching you... and offering you travel brochures?
"Welcome to the Crossroads," they say. "The center of the multiverse." "Join a guild!" "See the worlds!"
Before you have time to really even glance over the brochures there are now people pushing more pamphlets on you. "Are you stuck here? That's a raw deal. Let us help you out." "Join the Diamonds of Fortune! 5% guild discount and interest-free credit for three months!" "Are you injured? Do you require healing and spiritual peace?"
